Nathan Hauritz and Ryan Harris helped Australia beat Pakistan by 135 runs in the fourth ODI at the WACA Ground. Hauritz was in blistering touch with the bat, scoring a career-high unbeaten 53 off 39 balls as Australia recovered from a sedate start to the innings to make 277 for eight off the 50 overs.

The Kashmir conflict refers to the territorial dispute over Kashmir, the northwesternmost region of South Asia . The parties to the dispute are India, Pakistan, China and the people of Kashmir.
India claims the entire former princely state of Jammu and Kashmir and presently administers approximately 43% of the region including most of Jammu, Kashmir Valley, Ladakh and the Siachen Glacier.

1st ODI: Australia won by 5 wickets

Cameron white finally showed he could be a potent force at home as his muscular century pushed Australia to a five-wicket win in the opening ODI against Pakistan. Over the past six months White has starred in England and India to confirm himself as a key batting figure and he powered the hosts as they over-hauled the target of 275 with nine balls to spare.
It was the first time White, playing his 48th ODI, had passed fifty in Australia and he almost made it to the end before falling for 105 off 88 balls. Australia were uncomfortable after slipping to 3 for 84 with Ricky Ponting's exit, but White joined with Michael Clarke in settling the nerves and then took on the major responsibility with the vice-captain's departure.

Terror attack will impact Indo-Pak ties: Krishna

External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna on Friday warned Pakistan that any terror attack on India would seriously impact relations between the two countries. Reacting to Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani's statement that Islamabad couldn't guarantee against a repeat of the 26/11 attacks, Krishna said: "India has been appreciated for its tolerance and statesmanship in the aftermath of the 26/11 strikes. But any repeat of such attacks will have serious repercussions on bilateral ties. Let there be no mistake about this."

Krishna: Govt had no role in IPL auction

External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna on Thursday said the government had no role to play in the exclusion of Pakistani players from IPL teams.With an outcry building in Pakistan over the IPL auctions, Krishna clarified that the government had nothing to do with the team selections. "The government has nothing to do with IPL or the selection and rating of players. Pakistan will have to draw that line between where the Indian government is connected," Krishna said.

While the United States successfully disabled Al Qaeda from Afghanistan in the aftermath of 
9 /11; the terrorist organisation and its offshoots are rebuilding in Pakistan, Yemen and Africa, a top American intelligence official has said."While we disabled Al Qaeda's training and financing mechanisms in Afghanistan in the wake of the September 11 attacks, it is clear that Al Qaeda and its offshoots are rebuilding in Pakistan, Yemen, and the Horn of Africa," Robert S Mueller, Director Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), said yesterday.

Pak Taliban chief Hakimullah dead?

Hakimullah Mehsud, the chief of the Taliban in Pakistan, is reported to have been killed in a drone attack in the country's north Waziristan region. The attack also claimed the lives of 50 Taliban fighters. Missiles fired by the drones targeted a compound in Pasalkot along Pakistan's border with Afghanistan.

The Border Security Force (BSF) on Thursday arrested a 18-year-old boy from the border village of Attari near Amritsar in Punjab. The boy, who said, he was trained to be a suicide bomber, crossed the border and was hiding under the bushes.

Pakistani rockets fired into India, no casualties

Border Security Force (BSF) troopers fired from machine-guns and automatic weapons after suspected terrorists fired seven rockets into Punjab's Amritsar district but there were no casualties, officials said Saturday.
The rockets were found in an agricultural field near Kangarh chowki (post) in Attari sector early Saturday.

BSF troopers retaliated with machine-gun and automatic weapons into Pakistan from the area where the rocket blasts were heard between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. Saturday.
