Food Poisoning :120 Students ill

About 120 students of the Symbiosis Management Institute near here were hospitalised on Wednesday with symptoms of food poisoning.The students, who had eaten at the hostel mess on Tuesday night, took ill this morning and were rushed to two hospitals in the vicinity where they were being treated, Rajeev Yerawadekar, Dean, Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences, said.
Political JAC backs students’ bandh call
Realising that students may again take the lead in the Telangana movement, the JAC supported their bandh call on Wednesday though it had earlier agreed not to call bandhs for a while. Similarly, though it had earlier set January 28 as deadline for resignations, the JAC changed tack and supported the demand of students for immediate resignations.

Tension prevailed in the Osmania University campus on Tuesday as students of all varsities in the Telangana region boycotted examinations after one of them committed suicide over the delay in carving out a separate state from Andhra Pradesh.
Venugopal Reddy, an MCA student, set himself ablaze at Osmania University. His body was found in the campus early on Tuesday, police said.

Rahul's convoy was at the Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education in Gwalior on Monday. As the convoy was leaving the institute, a group of students rushed towards Rahul's car. Rahul's securitymen were completely overwhelmed by the situation.
