Split in samajwadi party?

Jan 18, 2010
Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Amar Singh on Monday issued a veiled threat at party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav, saying that all "real Samajwadis" were with him.
"I want to be a Samajwadi, not a Mulayamwadi," Singh said at a press conference where he announced the launching of the Kshatriya Chetna Rath from January 20.

"The party workers are with me. They must maintain calm. All real Samajwadis will rally behind me," he said.
Singh criticised Mulayam for inducting former BJP leader Kalyan Singh into the party. He said he had resigned from all party posts on health grounds and felt hurt by the "politicisation" of his resignation by some SP leaders.
Backing Singh, actor-turned-politician Sanjay Dutt said: "I will be with Amar Singh wherever he goes."
