Mumbai on Thursday won the Ranji Trophy finals beating Karnataka by six runs.Karnataka started the fourth day at 135 for 3, requiring 338 runs for a win on a seaming track.
Manish Pandey was in sparkling form and went on to strike a ton. He was eventually out for 144 runs as Karnataka collapsed from a comfortable 255 for 3 to 260 for 6. The tail-enders kept the home side's hopes alive for some time.But Mumbai pacer Ajit Agarkar proved to be the difference, picking up five wickets to hand his side its 39th Ranji Trophy title.
