Danam Nagender attacked

Telangana activists pelted stones at the convoy of the health minister, Mr Danam Nagender, at Kolanpak village in Nalgonda district while he was on a visit to a Jain temple.

The miscreants fled when police tried to catch them. The minister was unhurt.

Gajwel police said Mr Nagender had gone to Nalgonda on Saturday morning to worship at the Jain temple and later offered prayers at the Laxminarsimhaswamy temple in Yadagirigutta.

Police changed the convoy’s route after Telangana activists gathered near Yadgirigutta, but they reached Jagdevpur and Ganeshpally villages and pelted stones.
