Massic efforts are on to rescue a 4-and-a half year-old boy stuck in yet another borewell in Rajasthan.Yes, it seems state government has learnt no lessons from previous such incidents. In the latest case, the child, Pankaj is stuck at 20 feet in a 250 feet feet deep borewell.
Five machines are on the spot and have managed to dig more than 10 feet. Rock breaker machines have also been summoned by the administration.
However, rocky surface below 10 feet is hampering rescue efforts.
Oxygen is continuously being provided inside the borewell. The rescue operation is being monitored on a CCTV camera. The army has also been put on alert.
It is hoped that the child will be rescued as Pankaj was crying till late at night.
He fell into the well while playing in Piploon village of Rajasthan's Jahazpur district.
However, questions are now being raised about why the Rajasthan administration is not taking any preventive steps against such mishaps.
