2 foreigners arrest at RGIA

The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) police on Friday arrested two foreign nationals for trying to board a London-bound flight with fake passports.

The photograph of Ali, an Iranian, was affixed on the passport of another person, while the entry stamp on the passport of Usiks, a Latvian, was erased and bore a fake stamp. Ali wanted to go to the UK and contacted his friend Reza Atkayi, an Iranian national based in London. Reza asked Ali to meet one Sam in Mumbai who in turn asked Usiks to take Ali to London using a fake passport since the Latvian passport ensures acce-ss to the UK. They chose to fly from Hyderabad fearing detection at Mumbai.
