It's official now. National Security Adviser M K Narayanan will take over as the new West Bengal Governor.The government has also finalized its list of Governors for other states.
While former Home Minister Shivraj Patil will be the Governor of Punjab, Chhattisgarh Governor ESL Narasimhan is being shifted as Andhra Pradesh Governor.

The names of the Governors, which were cleared at a meeting between Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Friday, have been forwarded to the Rashtrapati Bhavan by the Home Ministry.The appointment of 75-year-old Narayanan, a former IB chief, creates a vacancy in the NSA's post for which former Foreign Secretaries Shyam Saran and Shivshankar Menon are believed to be the front runners.
