The home minister, Ms Sabita Indra Reddy, on Monday said she had written a letter to the DGCA to file a report on the helicopter crash that claimed the life of Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy on September 2, 2009. She added that the state has asked the CBI for an early report of the investigation.
On jails infrastructure, Ms Reddy said the government will put jammers that can stop mobile signals of any wavelength. She said this is being done to curb the recurring problem of cellphones being smuggled into jails.
“The jammers that are available now do not stop the signals of all the cellular services. This calls for the need to install better jammers,” she added.
