The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has asked the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for a copy of the decoded tapes of the cockpit voice recorder (CVR) of the helicopter which crashed with the former chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy on board.
The CBI DIG, Mr V.V. Lakshminarayana, said they had asked for the tapes by letter and on the telephone. “We want to complete investigation into the case at the earliest,” he said.
The CBI is also awaiting the forensic reports from the Central Forensic Science Laboratory on the mobile phones and laptops of the pilot, Captain S.K. Bhatia, as well as the other victims.
